Once upon a time a girl named Rocksand was born in Sri Lanka. She like lollipop and art. When she was eight years old she moved to Malaysia. She learn new language English. She stayed in Malaysia for seven years until she is fourteen years old. While when she was in Malaysia she learn about stitching and fashion designing from her father. Then she moved to America.
Once upon a time a girl name bam was born in a place called Thailand. She really like her grandma because she always make food for her. Later she star a school near her section. She make a lot of friends while she went to school. When she was 10 she move to U.S California Oakland. When she came to American after a few month her grandma die in Thailand ( where she was born ). It so sad that she did’t get to see her grandma die.
Here it is, the eve of this project’s beginning. After all the meetings to source a site/partner institution, pitch development, crowdfunding, collaboration with co-teachers, application gathering, site design and wrangling, and my very first visits to a high school lunch room since 2002.
I’m finalizing curricula and planning my outfit for tomorrow (shoes especially) and just sitting in incredible gratitude and a little bit of awe.
